We successfully completed a large-scale feasibility project in Russia for Odenberg Engineering – an international group with over thirty years experience supplying equipment to the food processing industry. Odenberg has operating facilities in the United States of America, Italy, Holland and Ireland. Through its specialized divisions the group designs, manufactures and markets peeling, sorting and freezing, and chilling solutions to the food processing industry. Our team in Russia conducted detailed research into the Russian Fresh Pack and Potato Processing sectors in order to validate the opportunity for Odenberg Pre-Processing Equipment determining size, location, and profile of market opportunities for Odenberg in Russia and to obtain the information necessary to develop a strategy for exploiting these opportunities optimally. As a result, the client received detailed market information that amongst other important data, also included company profiles of around 30 potential customers and around 10 potential agents that we interviewed during the project. In total, during the project around 60 different trading/manufacturing companies/organisations were interviewed that helped to obtain the required market information. The project also included developing a market entry strategy for Odenberg in Russia, which we provided in the report considering a number of available market entry options. Our conclusions and recommendations were also provided to help the client make a decision regarding the market entry.
